Bio
Alex Cavegn (they/them) is an American actor. Upon their graduation from Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists (SPCPA), Alex left the snowy unpredictable climate of their home state Minnesota for the rainy unpredictable climate of Scotland to continue their acting training at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During their time at RCS, Alex did an exchange semester at the infamous Carnegie Mellon University.
Since graduating from university, Alex has learned what it truly means to be an artist (which is to move back in with your parents, do lots of therapy, and wait tables at an understaffed restaurant). In addition to these ‘side quests’, Alex is a guest acting instructor at SPCPA, starred in the world premiere of The World is Ending and Maybe That’s Kinda Hot, and developed and starred in the brand new, well-received play Only Ugly Guys.
Alex is particularly passionate about new writing, Queer, and socio-political work. Their love for collaboration and curiosity drives them to continuously seek out fresh opportunities with up-and-coming groups and established companies alike. Alex seeks to use their art to build community and enact change by putting a spotlight on injustices and ‘uncomfortable’ topics.
